- You can’t get out of debt without knowing what got you there in the first place.
- You can’t lose weight without knowing how you got fat.
- You can’t have a happy marriage without figuring out what’s making you miserable.
- You can’t get an “A” on that exam without figuring out what you don’t know.
In chapter 7 of the book of Matthew, The Bible says you need to yank that giant hunk of wood out of your eye before pointing out that piece of sawdust in somebody else’s. In the same vein, you can’t point fingers at the problems without looking inward and figuring out what you’re doing wrong. So stop sitting around blaming the problems for your misery and figure out where the problem REALLY lies. You might be surprised to find that it might be you. Just entertain the idea – humor it – and you are going to unearth some big developments in your problem-solving.
