Great advice that I have followed, sometimes, throughout my life.
I've quit more than one job because it forced me to work on weekends, and I NEED my weekends! Without time to recharge, I just get run down, depressed, and downright unpleasant to be around.
Unfortunately, now that I'm back in school, my part-time job doesn't do a great job of leaving me free time. Nights and weekends are busy with homework or work, so I don't have as much time as I need. I finally told them that I am unavailable on Sundays. Now I have a nice relaxing day when I go to church, nap or lounge around, meet with friends for supper, maybe snag some groceries on the way home (after main shopping hours, so the store is basically empty). That day of rest has made a world of difference in my approach to the week!
