On Wednesday, I posted a poll asking you, the readers, about the obstacles in your life that keep you from improving it. After two days of voting, the results are in, and here’s a look at them:
53% of you feel that making changes requires money you don’t have.
Two votes is hardly a landslide victory, but your money concerns won the race over your time concerns. Money and time were evenly matched up for the better part of Wednesday and Thursday, until finally money won out. This part of the results really reassures me, as there are plenty of ways you can improve your life without breaking your budget. In fact, to me, the word “practical” implies that the advice found here can be applied to anyone.
Need further proof? I made about $20,000 last year, and I established yesterday that I’m in as much debt as anyone else, comparatively speaking. But the beauty is, the changes I’ve made have only improved my financial standing, and they can and will for you too!
None of you are afraid of change.
This is incredibly motivating for me. A lot of people in this world sit in their ways of doing things simply because they’ve always done them that way. Hopefully this means that you can take advice from this blog and the links from this blog and put them to good use with an open minded approach.
42% of you are strapped for time, too.
Just like cash, you’re short on time. I can’t claim that I have the same amount of free time as an average person, but I can say that I am using my free time to do the legwork for you. My intention to eliminate the “figuring out” time, allowing you to make smoother transitions in your lives. Stay tuned!
You all have an idea of where to start.
Everybody has a pre-conceived notion as to what changes they need to make in their lives, apparently. This is important to know, because it shows that we’re not working with a clean slate here. It also shows that there are already opinions out there. I hope that you all can share them as we move forward (that’s what the comments section is for!).
One guy is perfectly happy with his life.
That would be J. Money from Budgets Are Sexy. Good for him.
So, now what do we do?
Well, first of all, a big “thank you” to all of you who voted. This gives me a clearer picture of your concerns. What I’m trying to do is show you all how attainable life improvement can be. Now that I know what concerns you the most, I know how to find good advice that will speak directly to you.
