Glad to see other people enjoying KMPlayer, Majdou! I don't even remember how I stumbled on it, but I couldn't be happier!

Thanks for the list, very useful !
I totally agree about KMPlayer, I've tried both Win Media Player & VLC and for me KMP is the best of the bests music softwares ! Seriously, I've been using it for a couple years (or so) and I never had a problem, I'm 100% satisfied until now.

Thanks for the tips, Gillian! Yeah, not everybody can agree on this kind of stuff. I have tried Ubernote in the past and did like it quite a bit. Different strokes. I haven't tried Notefish, however, so I will need to check that out. But thank you for sharing that information with us all!

I have to disagree on Evernote. I tried it, but for me personally, didn't see the point of backing it all up to my hard disk. I found it complicated too. Try Ubernote.com, Ubernote is being continually developed and you're able to email notes to it, twitter notes to it and it has a Firefox add-on which sits neatly on your tool bar.

Another note taker which I love for it's simplicity is Notefish.com. I've used it for about a year now and although it seems to have been all but abandoned by it owner, it's still a really useful tool to use.

Thanks for the coverage, Tom. One of the reasons we created Thrive as a free service, and have turned away money to keep it free, is that we believe that helping people save money, and then asking them to pay for it, is problematic. It isn't that some services aren't worth the money you pay for them, and not everything in the world should be automatically free. But for a site that spends so much time offering good financial advice, we'd feel a little silly then asking you for money. Yay for free!

Thank you, Amit, and welcome! Interesting. I have to say that OneNote, of any of the programs here, is the program that's actually the closest to being worth its price. But with all the garbage surrounding the backup problem I had, I lost my trust in it. Glad to hear it's working out for you though!

I have discovered OneNote about a year ago, when I was working on a new web developing project.
The project was demanding for research and collecting information from many resources.
OneNote was the perfect solution for us.

Today we use only OneNote for our web developing projects and research.

Thank you for the interesting post.
Happy to learn new things every day.
